Speaking of Sad VOL Posts

The two crashes referenced earlier.

The day they fired John Majors - he deserved better.

The day they brought the Athletics Dept. under the UT Chancellor and dissolved the Athletics Board of Directors, and in particular, put the UTAD under Jimmy Cheek who was Chancellor at the time. We deserved better.

The day Andy Holt died.

The day Vanderbilt grad Lamar Alexander became UT President. A-hole wore a gold jacket and black pants to the welcoming staff reception.

John Ward announcing his retirement.

The passing of Dr. Chuck Johnson, mentor and friend.

The passing of CharterVol, A Great American.

The day Chancellor Jack Reese handed me my diploma and I was no longer a UT student.

Was there, TOO! It was the 3rd Quarter...he was an unknown Freshman and we were ALL saying "WHO THE #@(% IS THAT??!!
I don’t think he was unknown, but he was a Freshman. Bill Bates was a pretty good football player and he crumbled Bates.

There was no On3, Volquest, VolNation, Star Rating Services..hell there wasn't even a Fax Machines...

To the average Tennessee Fan he was "Unknown"...

That Arkansas return for a touchdown when we missed like 10 tackles. Real eye opener as to how far we had fallen.

Honorable mention to the 2001 SEC Championship; still bothers me.

Ask and ye shall receive...

The hirings of Dooley, Jones and Pruitt...The admins didn't care and only wanted butts in the seats, Records didn't matter to them and it ruined UT football as we knew it.

Nah, just more experienced at life 😉
Apparently experience brings on arthritis, difficulty sleeping and memory issues as well. Although, according to these articles about the devil's lettuce, there is hope for cognitive decline and sleep issues. LOL

Orlando Waters? 72 yd return against Tennessee in 1992 to come from behind and win the game by 1 was way worse in my opinion. The Arkansas team your referencing was a pretty good team. In 92 Tennessee had the dubious distinction of being the only SEC Team to lose to South Carolina and Arkansas in their first year in the conference. This is the same year we beat the breaks off Florida in the monsoon. I was at the Florida monsoon and the Arkansas debacle that season.

Does this make me the leader in the clubhouse? Lol

Losing the 2001 SEC Championship to LSU because we would have been playing in the national championship game had we won.

That was before my time. I was referencing this abomination from the Dooley years.
