Did anyone see that Rice beat S. Miss.
Another quality win by our beloved Vols.

I was about to bring that up in another thread. Florida is the best team ever, yet is about to have two loses. Southern Miss was just playing up that night when they were up on us.

ANYONE IN THE SEC CAN BEAT ANYONE ELSE POWER HOUSE OR NOT, all I'm saying is fla. losses aren't to rice.

I agree. All I was saying is that UF is not some super team, unbeatable by normal teams unless aided by kryptonite.
I just think that our players and maybe even the coaches went into that game expecting to lose.

you're probably right we were beat before we got off the plane, but it is disheartening for usm to get beat by rice. and we barely beat usm.

I'm not sure what the poster is getting at other than to shovel s***. How would Florida, or ANY team do with their 3rd string qb in? They had I think 8 turnovers against Rice, most being gimmes by the bad QB. It wasn't the same Southern Miss team. USM isn't a great, or even really good team, but they are far better than the one that lost to Rice.

Yep. The victory will go to the team that wants it. I don't think Tennessee is hungry.

All we know is that we are not as good as Cal & FL and not as bad as Arky St & So MS. That is a wide gap.

GA is probably somewhere in the middle

Saturday should answer a lot of questions for us.

We had a bad first quarter defensively, with 7 of the points being a COMPLETE gimme on super blown coverage. I could catch and score on that coverage, that was due to ONE guy.
