The CUSA has become a complete joke the last seven years. If they had started the exodus, it still would’ve been a move up

The only way C-USA survives this is if they can convenience enough FCS teams to move up or enough of their members to move down (not likely beyond UTEP,) and absorb some other schools in the same geographic region.

It would be necessary to take at least 1 to be able to keep the conference alive since 6 is the minimum number.

However, I think it's more likely that UTEP joins the MWC and WKU and MTSU join the MAC. La Tech and FIU try to glom onto the Sun Belt.

Many more shifts to come in the CFB landscape this decade. Once the transition from the P5 to the B3 (Big 3) happens, the lower conferences will be battle grounds to enter one of the B3. We'll probably see the lower conferences absolved or be made obsolete by increasing the cross-conference scheduling amongst the lower FBS programs. Guessing we'll get a 12 team playoff as well (rewards top teams & still allows for non-B3 teams to join).

I think as players unionize and conferences like the SEC grow, they will take steps to dissolve the NCAA. Going to be crazy - maybe some shenanigans similar to NFL 1982 or NBA 98. Players will want recompense for their participation and will argue for a wage distribution model. Legal sponsorships are already here, so we're closer than most people think. Players are starting to realize their worth. It won't just be Alabama players rolling around in New whips.

There's plenty of FCS spots in the OVC. They left enmass there also. Only 7 schools left.

According to the Athletic, ODU has officially signed to the Sun Belt. Marshall announcement could be by the end of the week (new President for them starting tomorrow). JMU likely not till next week at the earliest.

There’s probably a link to a free site somewhere
