Southern Cal Recruits

Since they sucked and were under probation, and coached by someone who's never won a significant game in his life.

This is true, but it's still USC. They're still the premier program historically on the West Coast. Kids that want a great education, incredible weather, and a school with tradition will flock there.

There are plenty of recruits that want those things.

This is true. The days of kids choosing a school simply because they grew up fans of a school are surely going away. This is very true when it comes to top notch prospects. I am not saying that it is wrong, but it has become all about finding the quickest way to the NFL. When I was a kid, back in the dark ages, my dream was to go to Tennessee and be a part of the tradition. To be on a Vol team that beat bama was about as good a dream as it could get. For the most part, these kids today either have no idea about rivalries like this or they just don't care. The color of their or their opponents uniform in college doesn't really mean that much to them. The only color that matters is the green awaiting them in the NFL.

Let me say that I don't blame the kids at all. If a kid feels that going to USC betters his chance at the pros, then who can really hold it against him? History would certainly back his decision up.

Considering all of that, it is still on of the best places to play football in the country. People in here calling kids dumb for committing to USC need to have their heads checked.

lulz at people calling out other schools for having a coach who's never won a meaningful game
