Anyone abusing kids get what they deserve. Hopefully the folks at the SBC get the snakes out.

Maybe the DOJ can focus on these kind of crimes instead of other… politically motivated… ones. Not naming any ones specifically of course,

Hopefully none of Epstein's friend were in the SBC. That would get this investigation shut down and folks suicided.

I personally know of several people who were opposed to the Schiano hire for the PSU reasons but continue to attend a church where local church leadership hid/covered up abuse allegations.

In this case, I'm blaming both...

I know peen state fans that were horrified by what happened and thought Tennessee should not hire him but they’re still peen state fans.
I see no hypocrisy in people still attending a church where a criminal did something somewhere else within their denomination.

Edit: yes that was on purpose

Edit 2: I suspect your friends would react the same way if their church attempted to hire one of these criminals as their pastor

To be fair, your average SB churchgoer was most likely completely unaware and it doesn’t mean it happened in every single church. Let’s not throw those people under the bus, but I’m happy to see those responsible get what should come to them. No different than the Catholic Church. I’m sure their members have been disgusted by the actions of their church leaders.

Former pastors from Hixson, Soddy-Daisy on Southern Baptist Convention's abuser list

My Minister of Youth in early 80's. My faith hasn't diminished.
He got 72 years..the laws today are too lax..there are creeps running around everywhere now and not just our churches.

The SBC has gotten pretty liberal and continues going liberal. Not sure how long it will continue to exist in its current state.
