It may be too early to tell but I'd like to hear what everyone thinks about this game. Both teams have a new starter at QB and return most of their players. Personally, I think if we stay healthy our defense will be one of the best in the SEC this year. Hopefully the O-line holds up. I think we win 22-21 on a last second Ryan Succop FG.

I think you guys will have a strong defense, but a very mediocre offense. Crompton will be much better than whoever your QB is. I say we win 34-13

We are more worried about Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and even UCLA right now.

I don't think the offense will score 34 on their own. There will be a ST or defensive TD

I think the vols win for sure, but it will be close. Like him or not, Spurrier is a genius and he will keep it close. I might try to get to that game. Only 3 1/2 hours for me.

South Carolina will have an excellent defense next year. And a good defense will keep you in most games.

You have running back Mike Davis and four returning starters on the offensive line, but you still have quarterback issues. Our only issue at quarterback is lack of game experience which will be resolved by then..

I really expected Spurrier to have a big time QB on campus by this point in his tenure. So far it really doesn't look like it's happened.

South Carolina is a formidable opponent for certain. I don't think TN will lose the game, but much stranger things have happened before. Spurrier is the absolute best at scheming around the other team's weaknesses offensively, and with South Carolina having a much better defense this coming year...they could really be a factor in the East.

Well, Spurrier does have Stephen Garcia "on campus"...Garcia certainly has the tools to be big time.

However, his stupidity and poor judgement have certainly raised questions about his future as a leader for that football team.

I live in SC and cooked out with some USCe folks tonight. As always, they are wearing garnet colored glasses. I think their D will be good, but not sure about the offense.

One thing that strikes me about USC fans . . . particularly this one guy I was with tonight. He says USC gets bad calls, every year, in almost every game. As if there is a conspiracy to keep the Cocks down. He pointed to our false start and re-kick last year. Doesn't matter if they are 6-6 or 0-12, it's always a screw job that kept them down. It gets old hearing that in these parts. That being said, USC won't be a pushover and I'm looking forward to making the trek to Columbia.
