My younger brothers and I used to fight like crazy when we were younger, not just wrestling or chicken fighting but full blown knock down drag outs. It was fine if I kicked his rear, but man let someone else mess with him or talk smack and they would get all they wanted from us brothers.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kiffin, Yet. I respect him as our Head Ball Coach and will always pull for the Vols regardless of who the Coach is.

I was a Fulmer fan and I have no problem saying that. I genuinely liked the man. He had integrity, character and was a Volunteer through and through. However, with that being said it was time for a change.

I have questions about Kiffins abilities, not so much the x's and o's aspect, but his Head Coaching ability. I'm not stating that to slam Coach Kiffin or to be negative for the sake of being negative. I think he still has a lot to prove and I'm just not willing to give him a free pass because of his potential. That's not to say he does not have the potential to be a great head coach. I think he had rather us fans question him about some aspects of his philosophy or his system instead of just "buying in to it". I think he wants us to expect him to earn our trust, and to prove that he can do the job. I don't think he wants or expects us fans to put our blind faith or trust in him, I think he wants to earn it.

He's gonna make mistakes. Not everything is gonna go his way and that is expected. But I want him to earn the right to be in the same company as, Neyland, Dickey, Majors and yes Fulmer. They all did it with good character, integrity, determination and above all else the love for Tennessee Football and its traditions.

I want to win, but I want to see it done with class and respect.

I was reading some stuff over on Rivals that people were saying about Kiffin and UT and it just pissed me off. Anyway the point of all this is that we can argue here and disagree with each other about our Coach but let someone outside of the (for lack of a better term) "family" do it and I get pissed.

I liked CPF very much. But, the team had lost discipline and the offense the last few years looked bad. It was very predictable. Like when Majors was around the playbook read "hey diddle diddle lets run it up the middle"....

The internet is full of trolls, any coach who is successful will be the target of jealous trolls. My best advice to you is not to allow anything you read on the internet or hear on the radio affect you emotionally, it's not worth even paying attention to it other than for entertainment purposes. If you plan on defending CLK from every troll on the internet, you will not have time to live your life. Spin and disinformation has become a way of life on the internet, learn to laugh at it.

He has ruffled a lot of feathers. I mean he took jabs at Saban and Meyer today, and he's pissed off Spurrier with taking some of his coaches. People are likely to get ticked off.

But I like the level of confidence the staff is bringing to everything after only two months. We don't hope to look at film and make some adjustments. We expect to win. On the field. On the road recruiting. Everywhere.

Set the bar high, and the players should rise to meet the challenge. Should be interesting, but we'll see how the season plays out.

I surely don't dwell on it. It was just something that I realized while reading some of the fodder.
