but I can't wait until Memphis plays UConn and gets beat, that way these idiots like Skip Bayless that are saying that UConn doesn't have a chance will all have to eat their words.

no no, memphis needs to beat uconn, then they can lose for all I care. :)

I think Memphis "can" beat UConn, but the odds have to be on UConn to win. I have them over UConn, but Skip I think has went off the deep end here.

Just like I'm sure the odds were for Wake losing their first game. Or FSU losing to Wisconsin.

Very true. UConn will be a harder game, but Mizzou is first.

How many times have we heard in the last few years how someone is going to kill Memphis? Please, someone tell me the last time Memphis was blown out by a dominant team (by more than 12 points)? I'm guessing it was 2004-2005.

Mark Few said on ESPN 730 today that UCONN played them tough and that Gonzaga gave it away at the end. When talking about the Tiger game, he said that they were throttled by the Tigers.

Cool - we're talking about March. We'll see what happens hopefully because that game could be really fun to watch.

I have actually been hearing some talking heads on the radio saying Mizzou will take it on Thursday. Arnie Spanier for one, though he also picked Arizona to beat Louisville, 78-77.

Tigers have to handle Mizzou first. Should be an entertaining game. I'm praying for a UConn win over Purdue. The master motivator that is John Calipari will have the Tigers primed to embarrass a UConn team that took the Tigers' #1 seed. I don't believe this (nor does Cal I think), but it will motivate the troops. If AJ Price or Thabeet could run their mouths in addition, it would be another Tiger beat down ala Maryland, Mich. St., Texas, etc. The dogs will not be called off given Cal and Calhoun's history.

Memphis lost to Ohio State by 16 in the 2006-2007 Tournament.

I think Tennessee may have beaten them pretty soundly that year as well…

He also picked Arkansas to beat Alabama in football this past year. He is a premier yakker just to create controversey.

Here's who the talking head also predicted would beat the Tigers:

2008-2009: UAB, Tulsa, Gonzaga, Maryland
2007-2008: Mich. St., Texas, UCLA

Don't put much credence in these folks who only watch Big East, B10, B12, and SEC ball.

Don't get me wrong, I think Arnie is a screaming douche.

I believe Arnie is a West Coast homer actually, hence the Arizona pick.
