Skimmed a couple threads over there.

Seems like there are only about 5 different people posting, and every thread turns into some sort of racist, homophobic thing.

Weird....

I like how we talk about football over here.

I can understand them taking the "Make fun of" threads we have on VN being offensive , but damn! Also I don't think I've seen the use of "pronoun" as much since english lit class in '03.

I am surprised at how few posts/posters they have on their site. I think of OK as a traditional powerhouse and would think they would have tons of fans on their site. We have more posts in 1 day than they have had over the past 2 weeks. wow.

Well,

1. First impression is that they have all the Hoptowns (angry people) without any of the Butchna/Charger/NE's (clever, amusing) or ZJC/SJT/Kristy's (insightful) or RockyTop/MsCelina/OneManGang's (inspirational). They're just all angry.

2. But on second thought, I know there are insightful and reasonable Sooner fans, we've had a couple visit us here on VN. So I'm thinking maybe that site isn't the counterpart to VN, that they have a better fan board somewhere else.

Go Vols!

Landthieves is another one of theirs. A little more action from what I've seen.

Soonerfans is a relic used by the dregs of the ou fan base

First, there are multiple OU fan forums and SoonerFans is one of the smaller ones. Sooner Scoop (Rivals) is also fairly small. There are also numerous private Sooner boards that you have to be invited to join.

The two largest, at least in my experience in perusing them, are Soonerillustrated (Scout) and Landthieves. Landthieves, is by far the youngest most irreverent. It is funny but not for the faint of heart. They eat their young there. It is patterned off of Shaggeybevo, a similar Longhorn site.

"Landthieves" is what the Longhorns call us. In other words, the nickname "Sooners" comes from the name given to those who, during the famous Oklahoma land run, sunk over the night before to claim the best land. They also call us Mobilehoma & Dirt Burglers.

I don't think they have enternett on Campus yet.

A couple of Oklahomans driving down the road and they spot a sheep with his head stuck in the fence. The driver stops and says "I'll be back in a minute." He then proceeds to have his way with the Sheep. He comes back to the truck and tells the passenger, "Your turn." The passenger walks over next to the sheep and sticks his head in the fence. lol
