Everyone knows that Saban is a b**** to work for and working for him is not all that good except for reaping the benefits and learning a ton. I find it interesting that all of his assistants get/want jobs with teams that play him. Everyone finds it odd that Jimbo left FSU to go to aTm. Kirby at UGA. Mcelwain formerly at Florida, Muschamp at SC, Dooley formerly at UT, Kiffin was here got on the inside to study him and now wants back in the SEC to kick his @rse. Now we have Jeremy Pruitt. Hopefully he will be the first Saban disciple to beat The Godfather. :rock2::rock2::rock2:

I am on the fence on this hire for a couple reasons. How do we hire someone who doesn't hate Alabama? I mean the guy is a AL homer. He started coaching at Hoover!! How will that work out!?? I just can't get past that right now!

Secondly, he runs a 3-4 defense. We don't have enough LB for a 4-3 how in the world will we work that out. Last time we switched from a 4-3 yo a 3-4 we had the worst defense to ever take the field at TN. I guess we will have to see who he chooses for his DC. But not too excited about that.

And for all of you who think that Phil is picking Tee for OC....not gonna happen. With the way coaching Russian roulette played out the HC will have given them a list of demands and Phil would have been the yes man. Couldn't afford to have one more guy say no so they got everthing they wanted.

I think it just proves that the SEC is the place to be.And to be the best you have to beat the best!

Who cares where the guy is from! CJB can coach! He can recruit and he loves it! We need a guy like this. Not some greased up goof ball. Gets old hearing that he's from Bama and has no hate for them. Guess what? He's a coach and when he steps on that field against any team you better bet that he is gonna do his best to get that W! That's what guys like him do. As for the defense, I haven't heard him say that we are going to a 3-4. He is a D.C. People act as though he doesn't know how to run another defense. Lol! Who cares about Tee Martin! What has he done to prove himself? He doesn't even call plays on third down! Why is that? Because he's not ready? Can't deal with the pressure. People need to get over the"he came from UT" thing and think about getting the best coaches, not former vols. Trust in CJP to get a great staff together. If he brings in some names I've heard then I will be pleased. Lipoid and the DB coach at Bama would be a great start.

I swear the stupidity on this board is rampant. I don't CARE WE HE COMES FROM. I only care that he can coach. Why wouldn't we want someone who has been part of a top program and worked for the best coach in the nation. He's seen how it should be done at the highest level and he has more than proven himself.

Some of you act like this is some master plan of his to join UT and destroy our program because he is a Bama homer. Give me a freaking break. Grow up.

Tee gave his all for TN and Fulmer should have interviewed him to throw him a bone for another HC job. Tee will be our future just like Frost at Nebraska & Smart at UGA. I agree he wasn't ready but talking bad saying "he doesn't call plays on 3rd down" about a man that brought us the only title we had in half a century shows how bipolar Vol fans are. A lot on here have disrespected Tee.
If you stoop to downing Tee then you shouldn't be a Vol fan. Tee love UT
Nobody knows his situation at USC. The players respect Tee more than the HC!! What's that tell you

we cant keep from talking about Kiffin can we?

We had our chance

Kiffin will soon be a HC in the SEC

Just better hope it is not in the east

He might land at Auburn or Arkansas right now

Get ready SEC, he's coming!

We will be 4-8 to 5-7 in 2018, but it is year 0, right. He inherited a dumpster fire right. So in about 3 years or so the Vols may be tolerable to watch, but that far behind the competition who doesn't rebuild...they reload. Continual Basement dwellers of the SEC but hey we got a coach finally!!! Woooooo

It was said in an article that he doesn't call plays on third down. How do you know he's our future? How do you know Frost is gonna stud out in Nebraska? It's freaking Nebraska. Some wonder if they will ever be relevant again. I'm not downing anyone by the way. And how do you know That the USC players like him better than the HC. Does that tell us that he can run a team? Ummm no! I am just realistic! Some on here say they trust PFad. If you guys trust him so much then why not trust this hire. Tell me this. Has USC won a natl championship with Tee callling the plays? I know the answer. Nope!

He played his first two years at MTSU in Tennessee. Then transferred to bammer. I guess that doesn't count.

If T had not played for Tennessee no one would pay any attention to him what so ever. he would be about 30 on the list. Hiring cronies' don't win championships.

It will make for really great Twitter comments, I'd love to see him go to either just for that, win or lose. I think Pruitt stands a good chance against Kiffin anyways.

Oh, grow up. you think Leach or any of the other candidates had "I hate Bama" at the top of their resume submission.
