I think the word “elite” may not be an over statement with our defense this year. It’s been brought up a few times before, but ESPN projects our defense to be better than Alabama’s. Analytics guys like PFF will tell you DB’s (specifically corner and nickel) are the most important aspects of a defense and we excel there.
