Something about running teams

Triple Option football is one of my favorite offenses to watch. Georgia Tech is a case study for the next fad offense, the flexbone triple option. In a few years, I thnk the option game will experience a rennisance of sorts. More people will start running it, and teams will start hiring more triple option coaches.

Note to Lane: We expect big, strong, fast offensive linemen in the Chad Clifton mold; big , strong fast tailbacks in the Charlie Garner, Chuck Webb or Johnnie Jones mold; big, fast receivers in the Peerless Price and Robert Meachem mold and some creative playcalling. Bring that and the defense your dad knows and everything will be fine.
The days of jellyassed, wannabe powerlifters on the O line end Monday afternoon. A guy who recruited/coached Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, Dominique Byrd, etc. has a pretty good idea of what kind of players to recruit.

The systems not broke; we just have not had the offensive talent the past few years to succeed. In fact what Cut did last year (excluding the Bama game) with smoke and mirrors was pure genius.
