Something’s wrong with this team

We never seem to have enough shooters and those that we do have somehow lose their shot once they get here.

Hey, I understand the importance of defense, but you have to have some balance. When I see guys like Carr who've been here and left lighting it up elsewhere, I just have to scratch my head and wonder if things couldn't have somehow been worked out to keep the guy? I mean what would he mean to this team/roster right now if he were here? What if we'd ponied up the money for Rice into throwing $4m at Ament? Wasted money, and I suspect it's the one move that will kill our season.

The kid just isn't physically ready to play in a mans league. His shot is MIA and his defense is nothing to brag about either. Given the NIL/portal/one season at a time nature of the college game in every sport, I just can't see how Barnes could have thought this kid was worth the money and that signing him was the right move to make. Hindsight is 20/20, and I hope the light turns on for Ament, but if Barnes keeps trotting him out there as a starter and he keeps playing like this, you have to wonder what that's giong to do to the chemistry on this roster?

Barnes is in a real bind with Ament. Can't bench him and how can he keep playing him? Others like Abram and Evans have earned more playing time IMO. How can Barnes keep giving Ament 30+ min a game? Should be interesting to watch. Glad I'm not in Barnes shoes this morning.

Not sure if I’ve seen a reason for Abram to get more minutes. Evans definitely needs more. Ament needs no more than 25 minutes per game at the moment.

The only lottery Ament will see is a powerball ticket. The NBA GM's arent even dumb enough to waste a pick on NA... well... maybe the Wizards

Can’t shoot free throws, turnovers due to lazy passes, Ament not being anywhere close to what we thought, Gillespies lack of quickness to penetrate the lane and dish. Even if he is a little better shooter than Zeigler, he isn’t as effective of a point guard.

We’re getting way too many of our shots blocked. Also, it’s becoming obvious that Amari Evans should be playing a lot more minutes, or even starting.

Carey was a waste - 7th grade girls can shoot FTs better than him

It’s all difficult spot. Because yes, he is our currently our third best option at scoring, but we can’t fully run our post offense through him if he can’t hit free throws. If we could hit them he would average 15pts a game.

Estrella could be that 3rd scoring option bc he can score and hit them, but he can’t play more than 15 mins a game because he can’t stay healthy. I’m ready to move on to playing Evans more. I feel like he can be that option.

Man one meh game after annihilating a top 10 team and everyone is up in arms. Arkansas is a top 15 team we played on the road that had a favorable whistle. Really not a big deal. They were literally favored.

We have two really big issues, both of which are correctable. Turnovers and free throws. Better attention to detail on both fronts, and we are a top 10 team. If we don't, yeah we're closer to a top 30 team. Defense will be there.
