Certainly we can agree that having the pressure of being a starter is something quite different than playing in a mop role or wearing the black shirt.

Wow! This thread has exploded. As usual, a respectable rival comes on here and makes some sense and he gets bombed. Stop it, you guys are living up to your reputations. Be respectful....even to those who you don't agree with.

You have a point. But I think he'll do good. His first test is against VT so he get's to show what he's really made of early on.

A "respectable rival", are you speaking of the Bama program itself, or some of it's fans?

Not trying to call you out, but to come on here and act like all of the Bama fans are respectable, is a little much.

I assumed that you meant, can his scheme (Tampa 2) handle offenses in the SEC and not can Monte be a successful coach in the SEC. I see no reason that the Tampa 2, with the right personnel, cannot be successful.

With out a doubt. After he gets his players, the Vols will have one of the best defenses year in, year out.
