if we are trying to run a quick tempo offense but we sub constantly. the refs have to give the defense time to sub so it's useless trying to run a quick tempo offense.

i would think we could run 3 or 4 quick plays before needing to sub.

Should be able to run more than 3 or 4..

This is ruining the game to me... I can see doing it some but all the time.. It can kill your defense.. Kinda like what Bio said..

yeah i agree here.... and i would love to see the first 15 plays scripted out no huddle and wide open.... if we score in 6 the when we get the ball back its balls to the wall on to the remaining 9 plays.... it would be interesting and worth a shot

It takes study 3 hours before the game to come up with such offensive mastery...

This should be moves to the ZA thread about it not being a huddle up game anymore. Lol

Wel, first of all, what Butch would say and has said is we are running a TEMPO offense but that doesn't mean a quick tempo offense 100% of time. Sometimes you need to slow things down. The object I think is to keep control, keep your opponent guessing what we are trying to do, and keep pressure on them. I'm not saying it works or not. Just what Butch has said in the past.

It's looking like next year the 10sec rule will be in place.

O will no longer be able to snap the ball in the first 10 sec of the play clock allowing the D to sub every play.

We very, very rarely run an up tempo offense. We run a no huddle, and oftentimes snap the ball with 10-12 seconds left on the play clock. Last night Texas was at times snapping the ball with 28-31 seconds left on the clock....that's up tempo.

You wouldn't understand it. But I'll throw you a bone. The premise of this thread is just wrong and shows a lack og knowledge.

Most vague response I've ever read in my life. Elaborate and enlighten us all on your bountiful and vast knowledge of our offensive system.

Do we run a HUNH? Very little. We run a NH but not so much a HUNH with a read. Now we didndt read much at all against App St but the idea of this thread on subs is just yet another example of not knowing what the hell you're talking about.
