Please go read the article about UT message boards drawing parents of players and see if it mentions VolNation.

Please.

Nope, it doesn't mention us.. :( I am sure that it will someday. Here is what Fulmer said about the message boards..

"I think there's too much misinformation out there and exaggeration. All it's turned into is a soap opera of entertainment for people who like that sort of thing. If that's what they like, that's OK," Fulmer said. "I'm not ever going to get caught up in it. It's kind of almost ridiculous."

Obviously Fulmer has never been on this site or he would change his tune.. :dlol:

It only mentioned the commercial sites.

Before the UAB game, I'm gonna go hang out around the players dorms before the Volwalk and recruit parents to this site... :D

It is something to think about though. If you knew a recruits parents were going to read you words would you maybe phrase something differently? (think Clausen) I really don't think it's much of a problem here because we all seem to appreciate these young men playing for our favorite team. However, there are sites where it gets pretty ugly.

I do lurk around other boards, and this is the best looking and easiest to use of all of them. As long as our comments stay above board, I would love for a parent to come here as look around. Maybe they will get the address of one of the t-shirts.

Keep up the good work Freak.

Oh yeah, and :bammer:

Obviously not, or they'd be flocking here in record numbers.

You might be surprised at the number of parents luking the boards, this one included. I had a conversation with one of our baseball parents at the SEC and he brought up the boards and asked if I was BVF. That opened my eyes. I asked what his handle was, he said he didn't have one but lurked on 5 different boards every day.

I can understand parents not wanting to post anything.

I would be livid if I read some member bashing my son or even critcizing them

My mother has never used a computer in her life. She's 65 and refuses to learn.

What is it with some of you elders?

My mother is the same damn way. She acts as if the Internet doesn't exist.

I'm guessing by 'here' you mean someplace far, far away from the Nation...
