No one at UT gives a rats a$$ about what that guy was doing at Penn St. He has been a head coach at two major programs in college, a head coach in the NFL, and now a DC at Ohio St. If he had a role in the Penn St scandal it would have effected is position at one of his previous stops. Awfully convenient that UT fans dont like the choice, now all of sudden he is at the heart of the Penn St scandal. What a joke. Unreal.:no:

Even if you take the Penn State scandal out of the equation... He's still not a good coach. His college record is only 1 win above .500 and his NFL record is below. He should have never been considered, regardless of the Penn State stuff.

You couldn't said it any better. People acting like Schiano was Currie first choice, and I believe that it was his last option and this fan based ruined that. Overreacting on a situation that been done and over with and im pretty sure Ohio State did there homework before selecting him as a D coordinator. Schiano is a damn good coach..

His record at Rutgers was 68-67

Butch's record at Tennessee was 34-27

Who gives a crap about Roy Moore..........but you are trying to bash "republicans" because of a couple people............get your frekin facts straight.

Also the allegations against Trump came to light before the election; however enough of America still voted for him.............I am a Republican, but I didn't vote for him, simply because I couldn't vote for someone who I thought had bad character & moral issues.........no matter if many of them were true or not.

If you want people to be against "Moore" or anyone, because of allegations..........don't you have to not want someone like Greg at Tennessee because of "allegations".......you, me or anyone. Not all allegations are true, but why even go down that road if you don't have to?

None of us are trying to put Schiano in jail. You are missing a huge point.

We just don’t want him HERE. IN OUR PROGRAM.

Whether or not he was involved or knew is between him and God and the others involved. It’s a debatable point, for sure.

But that doesn’t mean you want that guy HERE.

He should have NEVER been an option. Period.

If your so concerned about Schianos career and future, go picket Curries house, because without his COMPLETE incompetence yesterday, Schiano would still happily be coaching his defense and we would be happily following our coaching search

Currie caused this issue. No one else.

The other problematic angle is that other teams would have used the allegations against UT during recruiting with Shiano as HC, so it actually goes beyond just what we as a fanbase think. This would have been a no win hire for UT.

For me the real issue (beyond recruiting) was that Schiano and Butch Jones could be clones - micromanagers - blindly stubborn, dictators prone to alienating staff and players. And neither has a winning resume to balance the character flaws. We simply don't need to hire a copy of the guy we just fired.
