Whatever dude. You think KY hoops fans and Bama football fans and UF Gator fans sit around and make excuses for not getting it done? The attitude that "you tried your best" is why we finish 2nd.

I've supported the Vols and always will but I'm done making excuses and done listening to them. And personally, in my opinion, making excuses for UT is a big reason we have stayed down so long. We should demand excellence. Lord knows UT demands an excellent chunk of change to sit over there and watch blood baths on Saturday.

Being a Tennessee graduate and a veteran that served my country I can support any team I want to pal!Just because I see things that disturb me about the state of the program doesn't make me any less of a fan!

Thanks for your service pal! But if you noticed my screen name, as am I. I will repeat what I said to all you NEGAVOLS, go root for another team if you are that butthurt. Quit being ***clowns. You do not have to pump sunshine, but there is nothing you nor I or anyone on this board that can effect the outcome of this program but to support the current palyers and staff. Again, you have to play the hand you are dealt.

To win the war, you have to win the battles, even the small ones. We continue to lose them.

We flip a 3* Qb and add two 3* dlineman and people act like we were supposed to be happy.

We came up short for a 5*rb, 4*rb, 5*db, 4*lb, 4*wr and the list goes on. Essentially struck out at LB, the biggest position of need.

That's not getting it done. I don't care what it takes, you land Vonn Bell. Under no circumstances do you let him go to OSU. Look at UK landing Hatcher from USC. Look at Ole Miss. They got it done. We make excuses.

I'm sorry would u like to tell me our record since 08....im mot making excuses...its called reality....i wanted Dooley gone just as much as any body but I gave him up to this year before I started calling for his head...he started losing me around the UF game and I never wanted to even see his name attached to this program at all after the mizzou game....Butch Jones hasn't even got the chance to recruit his own class......look at his body of work over the next year or two then decide....if he pulls a Dooley then tell him bye bye but at least give him a year for recruiting and 2 for on the field success....with that said I think he will get us back competing and I think it will show when he wins 7 or 8 games next year and by no means is it impossible or even improbable.....oh and as far as bell goes (probably along with a lot of others) you can thank the great Dooley for that one too for burning bridges with all these hs players and coaches

I was same way with Dooley. I defended him, made excuses. JMO, but I think we are better off being an unsatisfied fanbase and demanding better instead of being complacent.

We should never be satisfied with a class that includes five 4* and zero 5*. I'm sorry. We are better than that. I know Jones only had 31 days and did a great job of getting guys on campus. But all in all, he lost 2 OL and added a 4* WR that we led all the way for and also added 3 3* today. We should demand better. That doesn't cut it.

I'm not saying that we couldn't have got a lot higher ranked class and trust me, I want us to get the big names like every one else, but I'm happy with 95% of who we got and they will contribute and build depth.....overall it wasn't spectacular but it was solid and I'm not one to always make excuses like I stated in my last post but he needs more than a month or so to build relationships that Dooley ruined. If next year goes down the drain recruiting wise I'll probably be critical of him too but it will be under reasonable circumstances. I'm not gonna make a knee jerk reaction over something without analyzing it first....i might do it in the heat of the moment but sometimes u have to step back and think and not be dead set on one thought
