Last night, Kiffin met with Drayton, Michaels, Scott, and Adkins to discuss recruiting for the upcoming weeks. David Reaves was involved in that meeting as well and will be introduced as the first hire at the 2pm presser today. Kiffin, Drayton, and Scott will have an in-home visit with Marlon Brown tonight. Adkins is also on the recruiting trail and remains with the staff as of now. Dave Clawson was also terminated with the defensive staff.

Does anyone know if they are on salary or hourly wages at this point?

Probably from what I have read.

It seems as if Drayton and Scott are the two likely to be retained if any, but Michaels has ties to Kiffin as well. Adkins' chances don't look good, but you never know.

They are still on staff so I would guess that they are still getting paid. Also, Condredge Holloway and David Blackburn are likely to go on the trail because of the defensive staff not being here to recruit.

Adkins is a surprise. I don't see him hanging on, but I could see the other two. I don't know how much veracity there is to the charges against Drayton and Scott concerning recruiting, but talk about the new boss putting you on the spot.

Maybe they can have an in-house meeting with Giles. This could get pretty interesting.

Conredge on the recruiting trail? That gets me excited. The most underutilized tool of the Tennessee Vols.

Basically out of necessity. It's something the NCAA allows when a coaching change happens. Him and Blackburn won't be out there long if Kiffin can help it, but who knows Kiffin may find a diamond in the rough with Holloway.

Hell, dude is still possibly the greatest of all our great qbs. Not as well known as our 1990's run of great ones, but the man could play and carried those teams. Remember him from my youngest days, what a player he was.

I say keep him out there front and center.

As far as I know, the only one I heard about before the season ended was Aaron Douglas and that was squashed and ended. So as of right now there are no transfers. Why should there be anyways?? It's not like we are putting the spread here at UT.

With the way things have been going since Kiffin came here, I could go to the bathroom for thirty minutes, come out, and read that he's conquered Russia.

I wonder how Adkins kept his job after the performance of the O-line. That must've been some sales job, he put the blame on Clawson that his linemen were AWOL.

This work ethic and commitment to get things done ASAP is another reason why it made so much sense to hire a guy who wanted the job.

He's just out there recruiting. Tennessee kinda has the assistants where they want them right now, because in order to get out of contract they would have to accepts a promotion somewhere else or buyout their contract with UT. So that's why he is there.
