I've heard of Bettis, but who are the other 2 guys?...guess that's why im VN's Youthful Opinion, lol
Ironhead Heyward was a serviceable, large back. Earl Campbell was simply the greatest pure power runner in NFL history. He also won the Heisman Trophy at Texsux.

I think I may have enjoyed watching Earl Campbell run the football more than anyone I've ever seen. The man was a sledgehammer.

Earl Campbell hurt some LBs & DBs over his career and often on the same play. Now, he's kicked back on a blanket at the beach, wearing some unfathomably small shorts, having a dip.

Sadly, I saw Earl on TV recently and he really can't walk.

Whoa, Whoa. I'm saddened that Ickey Woods hasn't been brought into this discussion. Not because he was better than any one discussed (he played 4 years only had 1 over 1,000) but dammit because he's Ickey and did the shuffle.

While we're on the RBs, how about a little Mark van Eeghen. Guy adjusted his shoulder pads more than anybody ever.

He also makes great hot link sausages and BBQ sauce.
