Soccer & Vollyball are busy again this weekend 9/5 - 9/8

Soccer today (Sunday) at 1:00 p.m. :) Maybe the girls can disperse the dark cloud hanging over the UT campus with a WIN! :)

The girls also have a chance to get some Payback for the volleyball team by taking Cincinnati to the proverbial wood shed!

Not a bad start...leading 1 - nil at the half. Not a great start either...we still struggle to put shots in the net. We get several shots on goal almost every match but we just have real difficulty making the shots pay off. Hopefully, that will change for the better heading into SEC Play which begins two weeks from today, at Vandy.

So at the end of the day, we win 3-1 and all is well in Vol land...well...for some of us anyway. We were good enough to play a lot of youngsters throughout the match and get the win against a not very good Cincinnati side. I have to say that our 3rd goal in the match was a thing of beauty. Best looking offense of the entire match. Then our side decided to "phone it in" for the last 20 minutes and gave up a goal that should not have been scored. :( But we won and we take Thursday off from the pitch and come back next Sundayrested and ready! :)

Yep but a win is a win I guess. Vandy and Marshall tied up going into OT in Nashville. They are ranked #9.
