Last year's team lost close, low scoring games. This year's team is losing close, high scoring games. Combine this year's O with last year's D and we're sitting pretty.

Simple.

I seem to remember getting blown the **** out in several games last year

We only got "blown the **** out" by Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas, all were ranked in the top 8... 10 to UF, 8 to UGA and 11 to SCAR...

Ok then change several to few but still we got blown out in more than zero games.

Dooley said after last year ut football was at rock bottom if that was the case then where in the hell is ut football now?

a team that hasn't won a bowl game since 2007, or won more than 7 games since 2009, isn't going to be able to beat 5 top 15 teams a year after they only won 5 games. Sorry to burst your bubble. The offense is among the best in the country, but unfortunately, the defense did not improve.

Arguing about whether we were blown out worse last year or this year reminds me of the Vandy fans I know and their moral victories. The overall improvement, if it exists at all, is not good enough in year three of this experiment. That's a big if btw.
