So WVU reminded me why we should’ve been worried but any positives?

Defense as a whole sucked. Execution just wasn’t there. Everyone was out of position in pass coverage. Alontae Taylor played very well. Not sure why Kongbo didn’t get more snaps.

Offense looked serviceable once the O Line settled in. Tim Jordan showed great vision. Receivers looked great. JG had a good game but he played it safe. Didn’t take any shots down the field and showed poor mechanics and an inability to make pre snap adjustments.

What good things did you guys takeaway?

You’re “not sure why Kongbo didn’t get more snaps”??? Lol.

1. He was out there, a lot
2. How about because he’s not an SEC caliber football player and is about the same now as he was each of the last two seasons....not good at all.
3. Agree about Jordan
4. What are you talking about regarding JG and poor mechanics and pre-snap adjustments? You pulled that completely out of thin air. He ran what his OC called, was very consistent and very accurate, despite playing behind a scout team OL.

We didn’t turn the ball over ... a sobering thought. That’s as about as good as we are right now. We need players

Kongbo just simply isn’t that good of a football player.

2. I was confused why in our dime package we didn’t just have Kongbo and Taylor out there instead.

4. He displayed poor mechanics and while he only threw the safe throws. His timing was off. Didn’t cause any turnovers but it was still off. Also. He didn’t see any of the blitzes coming and make protection changes. Granted first year in the system but third year on campus. He didn’t seem in control as I would expect a QB to be.
