Vandy isn't a for sure win. They just destroyed Ol Miss and have played good all year. And who ever we play in the bowl game we'll see if there is a let down. Not sure about this team. Not sure about the staff for next year.

We should win the next 2 games. No excuses. Next season I expect a 10-2 season and berth in the SEC Championship (assuming we stay relatively healthy).

For comparison's sake I expected us to go 15-0/14-1 this year with a SEC and national championship. Obviously that didn't happen whether it was due to injuries or us not being good enough. Assuming we can stay relatively healthy next year, we should have enough talent on the roster to be able to beat Florida and Georgia along with our other eastern rivals. We have Alabama and LSU on the schedule. I am marking those down as losses. I'm assuming 6-2 should be good enough to win the East. Once in Atlanta, I won't expect to win it. But I will expect us to be able to compete with whoever comes out of the West.

Expecting more than a berth in the SEC Championship game next year will be a bit too much.

Vandy also got beat by Mizzou so there's that. Ole Miss couldn't catch anything and Vandy played out of their minds imo, was like the perfect storm for them. I expect a W against them but can't decide anything past that until I know who we play and all that.

I have news for you. The qb will be a drop off and knopw way will we beat UGA and UF both in back to back years. We have beat UGA 2 in a row so expect that game to go back. We don't beat Bama. That's 3 right there. USC will be better and we will be worse. We will be lucky to be 9-3 next year. This was our year. We should have beat USC and Txam.

I expect that if we don't crush Vandy this board will be in full meltdown mode at least until the bowl game.

7-5 at best

We lose to Florida, Georgia, Bama, LSU

Butch craps the bed on one of the other games

We start a new QB

Questions at RB behind Kelly

Our secondary will be bad

Our defense needs to improve

We won't crush Vaandy. Have you not noticed they have lost a lost of close games to good teams and beat some good teams? This will be a slugfest in Nashville!!

Secondary will be experienced. They will be strongest part of our defense if Shy and Mac don't play all season due to injuries. Defense won't be our problem next year.

Defense wasn't going to be a problem this year either. How that work out?

We should beat Vandy. As far as the bowl goes I don't know, it depends how many injured players we get back especially on defense. Our DL right now is getting pushed into the cheap seats.

Coach Mason usually has his boys ready to play.

Their running back has led the SEC in rushing for most of all this season but is top 5.

Let's don't sleep on them. Must take it seriously.

We have what it takes to win if we'll put it all together
and play to win.

Another one of these...

You honestly expect Tennessee to pickup where Dobbs left off with a guy who's only live action is against inferior teams or mop up duty?

The D is still a mess and losing Barnett will hurt.

At this point without any staff changes 6-2 is a pipe dream
Butch Jones proved he's not the guy you want when a title is on the line.

Alabama and LSU are both losses
Florida: at the swamp with an inexperienced QB it's doubtful Tennessee wins
Georgia: its helps that its at Neyland but again I think they'll be the better team if Tennessee doesent make changes.
SC: until Butch beats Muschamp I'm chalking this up as a loss.
U.K., Vandy, and Missouri Tennessee should win.

Water finds its own level and so will this team. They remind me of a basketball team that lives and dies by the three and plays only token defense. As long as the offense continues to click, we can compete. Run up against a solid defense that causes us problems or if we play sloppy and/or Dobbs has an off day, this team can lose to anyone. Vandy will be tough. If we do get the Sugar bid and face OU........whew. Next year will be 7-8 wins with 8 being our ceiling IMO.

Sad part is Vandy can score 28 points on this defense. I will just say it they WILL score 28. They can run on us as everyne has and then they can play great defense. So the question is will we score 24 or 35? And that 11 points is gonna be tough. Will we jump out fast or will it be tight in the 3rd quarter? But no way we destroy Vandy.

They better act like Vandy is UGA or Ol Miss. Teams they beat!! And they are at home! Even though we will have more fans there, Vandy will be fired up to play us! They know they can win. We better know we can lose and show up or it will be USC all over again. If we give up 37 poits we lose. We can't score that much on Vandy.

Yea, if we win 12-7, or 14-7 or 17-10 then it's a clear sign we suck, the program has no hope of ever getting to Atlanta, etc...

I think Tennessee beats Vandy and backs into a higher tier bowl than they deserve. Butch will unload with all kinds of cliches that are meant to be back handed comments about/to the fan base.

Bowl worst case: they will face a much better team in said bowl and get blown out.

Bowl best case: they draw an overrated team like they have the last two years. And just like the last two years they come out fired up to prove something and blow out said overrated team. This will result in the fan base convincing themselves next years team goes 12-0 regular season only to see that blown up in the first month of the season.

In the future I expect more mediocrity and cliches as long as Butch Jones is the coach.
