Op... I think it’s pretty fair honestly. In fact 35 might be a little high. I’d have guessed 40’s. Although as Tennessee fans we’ve seen this team get better and better every week (while playing some really good competition)...they just see a 3-5 team with one of the worst looses in college football history. If we win out there’s a slight chance for us to end up in the top 25 especially if we could get to a bowl game and win. It would be noting short of a miracle if that were to happen after the way we started

The Tennessee Vols at #36 are the highest ranked team in the state of TN according to the FPI. Memphis is currently a close second at #38.

Memphis is currently #24 in the AP and #23 in the coaches poll with a 7-1 record.

SMU is #40 at 8-0. AP #15 Coaches #14

Wyoming at 6-2 is #70. They hold a head to head win against Mizzou currently 5-3. Mizzou is ranked #26.

The 5-2 K. ST Wildcats are #33. They have wins over 3-5 Miss. ST #32 and 7-1 Oklahoma #7.

3-5 Tennessee at #36 is higher than 3-4 BYU at #57 and 6-2 Georgia ST at #94. To the OP's point it works both ways I guess?!?

Tennessee lost to BYU and Georgia State. USCjr beat Georgia. With JG starting we are a bottom tier team and the formula doesn’t take into account that a team would start a walking disaster of a QB over other SEC caliber QBs on the roster because it makes no frikken sense.
