Will our fans actually be happy about the win or will there be an injury excuse that the only reason we won was because Del Rio and Martez Ivey was out for Florida? Personally I don't care how we win as long as we just win. Regardless who played and who didn't.

The Florida game should now be a sure win---the real game is UT-UGA --- that will decide the SEC east.

A sure win??? For what reason? Because they lost their QB? Have you not forgot how great we make backups look? Florida has a scary good defense again too. Come on man ...

We will expose Florida for what they are, but after we win Volnation will celebrate.

Im honestly not expecting a win. We look really bad. They look pretty good. Yeah theyve played bad teams but so have we. Them having their backup qb is just a nail in the coffin. He WILL light us up.


So yes, ill be happy with a win. If we somehow pull it out by a point I dont care. If they outgain us by 300 yards but have 5 turnovers and we win I wont care.

As pessimistic as I am at this point, I will be happy with the sloppiest ugliest performance in the history of Vol football as long as we get a W. Won't make me feel good about the rest of the season, but the streak has made this game an island unto itself for me. Win this, I don't care how.

should we win, everyone will be happy.

i siap yesterday, this notion that people are unhappy about winning is just dumb.

you can beat FL, GA, Bama the way we've had to win the last 3 games. you win those games any way you can, and you're happy about it.

you don't play the way we have, even in victory, and look at that and say "yes, that kind of play is capable of beating FL, GA, Bama."

why is that so hard? you can be happy about winning, which we all are, and still have serious questions about how the performance will translate to the Conference schedule.

short answer, yes, we'll all be happy, i don't care how we win against any of the teams we play in the next month. i just don't think we will win, IF the performance i've seen in 3 games remains the same.

I'd still be satisfied with an ugly win. I wouldn't criticize the win like the others,only because fl is equally talented. We should have had the first 3 wins in the book by the 3rd quarter.

It is tempting to say that if we beat FL and break the 11-year streak, all of VolNation will rejoice.

And I think that will MOSTLY be true. But just mostly.

Because:
(1) There will always be trolls;
(2) There will always be Eeyores;
(3) There will always be the guys who shift the goalposts, like this fella:

Recall, last year it was, "sure we beat UGa, but Florida and Bama are the real tests."

So nope, not all of VolNation will celebrate, some will continue to melt down and refuse the paper bags they should be breathing into.

You're right. Florida won't tell us anything about #120 that we don't already know. Bring on Ga that's the true test, well they didn't look very good vs That Nickle team, so atne we gotta wait till the A&M game, to know it we are ready for Bama, the team that gave up 40+ points to Ole Miss.

I don't think it's a lock. I honestly can't envision how we will gain 200 yards on offense against them. I want to see a Jennings WR pass and some reverses to Byrd. Del Rio is a big loss, for sure, but this is no lock.

yeah, right now, can you imagine the fall out should we lose? the pressure not to lose this game for CBJ and co is immense.

conversely, there's absolutely zero pressure on Florida.

Your post works both ways, the apologists will claim we lost because of our injuries Even tho we laid eggs so far. No excuses tho, both teams recruit and develope players for next man up scenarios.

That said I cant explain it but I just for some reason feel like we win this year and break the streak. Go Vols!
