i would rather take my chances with perriloux thinkin that chavis would be a little more aggresive with blitz calls on a young innexperienced player

well I think either way we need to step on and stop the run like in arky to make this a one dimension team. If an in experienced qb is forced to throw more than he is comfortable with mistakes are bound to happen. We just need to captialize on those mistakes.

i think some people are forgetting LSU's history with back up qbs being very successful.

Matt Flynn against Miami in the Peach Bowl a few years ago......played extremely well in a one game situation.

Matt Mauck comes in relief for Rohan Davey in the 01 title game against us and is extremely effective.

RP is a good athelete, good runner, strong arm, but not the most accurate. he could be prone to a turnover or two if put inthe right situation. his legs scare me a little though. he's the kind of athelete that could run some spread pretty well.......real big kid. He could cause our defense some problems.

having said that, i would rather him start the whole game than just seem him part time like Tebow/Leak last year.

We better watch what we ask for when it comes to backup QBs, I belive that happened in another SECCS
game we were in and that game did'nt come up very rosy. But go VOLS, only the good lord knows what will happen and he's not talking.

That was a bit different in that the backup came in after an injury and was never expected to play. At least the coaches have an idea that RP will be in there.

Welcome to the board :hi:
