We've pulled rabbits out of hats for five weeks now, but that stuff won't last forever. If Alabama gets three scores up on us, I guarantee you that we won't come back from that one. Time to saddle up and figure out how to score in the first half.

The D is flat worn out. No reason for the offense to be tired.aTm is first. That one will be the toughest of the 4 game stretch IMO. Rough place to play and frankly, I don't know what we could possibly have left in the tank after the back to back UF/UGA games. We've got to be gassed plus we're flat out beaten up and injured. This team has accomplished far more than I expected. They get a pass from this fan next week.

Fortunately, UT has not been overhyped for these games. Florida came in super pumped and when the game mattered, the tank was empty. I question why UT has been so relucteNT to exercise it's depth.
Other than Byrd and Buchanan we haven't seen a lot from underclassmen. Even the D line seems to be on a tight rotation. Will likely cost them this week.
Problem is that while CMD is calling an entire game plan, fans and armchair OCs are wanting to call plays like they do in their video game. All these early plays are setting up a play later. Like the wide open Hurd TD that he dropped. We had ran that play 4 times in that set before they playactioned and Hurd released into a route. Is it a flashy offense that is designed to score quick and early? No, but it seems to be working. It's hard to complain when you are 5-0 but if we want to nitpick one thing that has obviously been a problem is that the offense has been overly conservative and predictable during first few drives in every game this year (lack of points scored in first quarters proves this). One thing that sticks out is that Dobbs never runs (especially designed runs) early in the games. If he would just keep the ball a few times during early drives the opposing defenses would not be able to tee off and gang tackle our RB's. Dobbs could probably get a couple 5-15 yard runs which would put the defense on their back heels and make it much easier to run the rest of our offense. Anyhow, I have been thinking about what could be the reason coaches don't ask Josh to do this and can't come up with on.
