We've pulled rabbits out of hats for five weeks now, but that stuff won't last forever. If Alabama gets three scores up on us, I guarantee you that we won't come back from that one. Time to saddle up and figure out how to score in the first half.

aTm is first. That one will be the toughest of the 4 game stretch IMO. Rough place to play and frankly, I don't know what we could possibly have left in the tank after the back to back UF/UGA games. We've got to be gassed plus we're flat out beaten up and injured. This team has accomplished far more than I expected. They get a pass from this fan next week.

As much as I agree with you, I'm going to enjoy the win for a day or two. That was a hell of an ending.

Lol that you think you can guarantee anything with these guys at this point.

Tommy Boy had something to say about guarantees.

In the voice of Dory, just keep winning, just keep winning.

It's a long season we need to clean up some stuff.

Go Vols!

I don't agree, not sure what everyone wants, but I thought is was a win. This team does not give up, even after some mental lapses, they still found a way to win in Georgia with 4 of our best players on the side line...........give it a break, wait for the aTm game and enjoy the 5-0 start.........geesh it is amazing how some fans just can pull their heads out of their.............

Go Vols!!!

aTm and Bama are much better teams than fla or ga. We're getting to the point of the season that "you are what you are". This team might not be mature enough to play a full 60 minutes.

They've played themselves to this point to something much bigger. Question is can they handle it?

Let's look closer at this game, Hurd's fumble, Kamara's fumble and Dobbs interception, erase these and the Hail Mary would not be necessary. Georgia is the team who was lucky to be still in the game, even through UT's mistakes.........we won they lost. The world of SEC East has been set straight. It is completely natural for UT to be the beast of the east. Even if we go 0-2........this season has provided the more emotion and excitement since 1998. The UT Fans need to remember that our dog is in the hunt and when was the last time that happen? UT has not put a complete game on the field, but IT'S COMMING! I am tire of reading post from people that think UT should be perfect on the field. I see the improvements since CBJ has arrived, and I am happy with the progress and the grit and determination of Team 120........they have my respect.

The D is flat worn out. No reason for the offense to be tired.
Fortunately, UT has not been overhyped for these games. Florida came in super pumped and when the game mattered, the tank was empty. I question why UT has been so relucteNT to exercise it's depth.
Other than Byrd and Buchanan we haven't seen a lot from underclassmen. Even the D line seems to be on a tight rotation. Will likely cost them this week.

What is surprising is that you got 2 Likes, did you watch Ky give Alabama fits in the first half? UT is better than Kentucky and I can guarantee that!

It's going to be hard to beat this team going forward IMO. They have all the confidence in the world right now to beat anybody. As Barnett said postgame "We have yet to play our best football"! I believe him!

You keep coming back every week. I admire your pluck...and by "admire" I mean IDGAF :).

Another "we need to play better" post. Lame, redundant, and obvious. The bad news...our fan base is still suffering from beaten down dog syndrome. The good news...we can play better...a lot better. Our leader on the field said so. #9 says we haven't played our best football yet. Will it take our best football to beat A&M and Bama? Probably, but maybe team 120 just knows how to win. Maybe our guys have been on teams that couldn't finish games, but now that's all we do. Relax OP and bask in the glory of 2016 University of Tennessee Football!!! You will have plenty of time to fret about our next game even if you enjoy this epic win a few more days.

It's hard to complain when you are 5-0 but if we want to nitpick one thing that has obviously been a problem is that the offense has been overly conservative and predictable during first few drives in every game this year (lack of points scored in first quarters proves this). One thing that sticks out is that Dobbs never runs (especially designed runs) early in the games. If he would just keep the ball a few times during early drives the opposing defenses would not be able to tee off and gang tackle our RB's. Dobbs could probably get a couple 5-15 yard runs which would put the defense on their back heels and make it much easier to run the rest of our offense. Anyhow, I have been thinking about what could be the reason coaches don't ask Josh to do this and can't come up with on.

Alabama plays like we do: they've started slowly in just about every game, have fallen behind in at least a couple---and then they score 40 or more in the last three quarters. And I have to think they've got a lot better defense than we do.

DeBord is an extremely conservative play caller until we are 14 points down--lots of running, swing passes, going horizontal and not vertical. And we're not very good. We only click offensively when we're behind and HAVE to open the playbook.

Problem is that while CMD is calling an entire game plan, fans and armchair OCs are wanting to call plays like they do in their video game. All these early plays are setting up a play later. Like the wide open Hurd TD that he dropped. We had ran that play 4 times in that set before they playactioned and Hurd released into a route. Is it a flashy offense that is designed to score quick and early? No, but it seems to be working.

After yesterday's game I don't give a **** how they win just win baby. And if they split the next two games or lose both I will still remember this season as one of the best!! 10-2 is a real possibility and I haven't been able to say that about Tennessee in a very long time. Enjoy it and quit *****ing. Jesus.
