It’s also weird how ACC refs can call a Jeremy Banks tackle as unnecessary roughness even before the whistle has blow yet SEC refs literally don’t even touch their flags when the same tackle happens……

This is the problem with conference referees. They are not "neutral". They defend the perceived interests of their conference, which means favoring the conference team in an OOC matchup, and favoring the (perceived) team more likely to make the playoff in an intra-conference matchup.

There really should just be NCAA-wide refs. Don't understand why there isn't.
