I'm curious, if Texas had lost, where would they have gone? Would they have gotten a BCS at large bid like UF? Or would they somehow end up relegated to the Holiday Bowl due to the Cotton having already having taken Ok St. officially?

At large BCS. Don't know witch. Likely at the expense of Iowa or Boise State, and played one of those two.

McCoy vs. TeaBag would have been a great game. Nebraska was robbed by the officials in that game. The head of the Big 12 was must be Slives buddy.

Iowa would have been the team knocked out of a BCS Bowl in that senario (to make room for Nebraska).
