@ Miss St- The bulldogs are hot at 5-0 but have they proven anything? The other bulldogs certainly hadn't and got torched by South Carolina. Tennessee will attack early and often against a Miss St. Defense that got smoked by Troy. Tennessee wins by two touchdowns.

Vs Bama- Do I see a blowout? There will be a blowout if Tennessee doesn't bring a strong defense, but they will not give up and Bama will get the win but it's gonna be a whole lot closer than some people think.

@ South Carolina- Spurrier had the gamecocks looking down right scary last week, but let's not forget how overrated Georgia really was. After all, Richt is 0-10 against teams that finished the previous season ranked. I noticed something that ole Bobo didn't or either he was stuck in his rushing ways. South Carolina's D may get pressure but if you pass, pass, pass, they get confused and worn down. Uga did it on one drive and it worked, why they kept going back to the run that was getting stuffed is beyond me. Chaney oughtta be happy here, Tennessee wins slinging the ball.

Vs Troy- Troy is pesky but they won't be pesky enough.

Vs Mizzou- Well, they are having a tougher transition to the SEC than their fans thought. They are plagued with injuries and their team chemistry is split. Vols win easy.

@Vandy- Franklin is still pissed about last year and this year isn't any easier, Tennessee blows em out.

Vs Kentucky- Kentucky is bad, very very bad. This one wont be a contest as a very pissed off Tennessee team gets their revenge and the streak starts again.

I see a January bowl game coming as the Vols turn this year around and end with a record of 9-3.

Hope you're right, but I don't see South Carolina as a win. Highly doubt we can stop Lattimore and If GA is overrated then what does that say about us?

You're obviously basing your predictions on your heart and dreams.

What has UT proven?

MSU is the only real toss up.

Bama walks all over UT.
USC does the same.
Troy will be tough on the UT D, but UT wins
Mizzou looks to be a dumpster fire.
Vandy will play hard but come up short.
UK is horrible and therefore should be trounced.

It honestly doesn't imply anything about us except for the fact that the defense wasn't prepared to stop the run. South Carolina was. South Carolina read into the predictable run, run, run, run, run, pass, repeat Georgia offense.

Honestly, I think we beat Miss State. Lose to Alabama and South Carolina and one of the teams we should beat (Missouri or Vanderbilt). Could be wrong, but I'll be rather surprised if we win more than 7 this season (not counting bowl game, because I have no idea who we'd play)

My knee and back will allow me to go to the KY game where Bamacheats and 2ironvol invite me to tailgate. They will then join me in a chorus of "bring back Phil"

State is a toss up, yet you predict them beating UT by 15? Doesn't sound like you believe it is a toss up.

Nothing, except that the D stinks during this changeover and that if any team lets us stay in the game and we play a full 4 Qtrs, we have the chance to beat most anyone.

Like most, I'm a little doubtful, but hey, that's why they play the game.

I think the 8-4 bet is being about as optimistic as you can be.

Well hello to John Chavis!!! I heard that you might be joining our board. You are indeed "Displaced". Come on home JOHN! We need some third and Chavis again

look man, yall can throw as much money at him as you want, but as long as you are only offering him a DC position, he isn't going anywhere.

now, should they give Dooley the boot (ftr, i don't think they should) i bet he will be a legit contender for the new HC position.

If 4 is a quartet, how is 3 a chorus?

Ed, where the hell have you been?

Go Vols.

Sounds about right. I think this weekend's game is the deciding game that makes us either 8-4 or 7-5. Anything can happen against SC. We could pull it out. Not likely though.

So you are saying that John will come home to be the head coach?

This is pretty much where I stand. The only thing I think differently about is that I think USC will beat us by at least 10 and have damn near 400 yards rushing on us. But 8-4 is the best scenerio I can see with 7-5 a reality if we manage to lose Sat.

im saying that if/when he decides to leave LSU, it will be for nothing less than a HC position.

... or NFL, ya never know.

After four years, I bet ole John is sick of eating gumbo. But he got that defense looking good! Not so sure about that dude you guys have playing quarterback. He looks a little scared. Think you can beat them cocks on Saturday?

Just to make BC happy, please sniff yourself...do you smell like a corndog?
