So for those who were there, how was the field?

Just curious for those who attended, what were the field conditions like? On TV it just looked OK to me. Not the worst I've ever seen it but not like the Appy State game.

This kind of goes under the turf question. What I was impressed with Saturday quiet a bit. They kept saying if Tennessee beat Florida the fans would storm the field and rip the goal post down like the last time we beat them. What a great show of class and respect for the fact we expected to win by our fans. We have the talent that we shouldn't rip the goal post down on anyone.

Field is fine. It's only Sept. Let's see what it looks like in Nov.

'Can't figure why anyone would complain about that turf. As an earlier poster stated: "it was a non-issue, which is good." Having driven up from famously hot South Carolina, the heat many were cursing was just a balmy fall day to me. The best part of the field was my hundred thousand brother and sister Vol fans who were the fourth dimension of UT's football team...loud as heck when the gayduhs were on offense and quiet little mice when our fellas had the ball. I've watched live UT football games since 1953, including the win over Spurrier's lizzards in '97 when I rushed the field. Only this one was better and I'm too old to run down there anyhow (but I would've). Most fun and gratifying football game I ever watched!

How hot is it in South Carolina? And which city?
