I was 100% Gruden, but it's never going to happen. Let's move on from this guy who OBVIOUSLY doesn't give two craps about our fanbase, and let's get behind our new coach, and let's have fun winning championships.

Now Gruden and Kiffin can take away the restraining orders against the Tn fans who had the FATAL ATTRACTION over them. The fans that carried a photo of Gruden/Kiffin in their wallet for quick pick-me-up when things got down-used to pleasure themselves at night. Don't worry,they will be the "sure fire hires" on every college needing a coach for the next 10 years.

Nothing during this debacle was more insane,than constantly have the name of Gruden/Kiffin keep popping up like there was a snow-ball chance in hell they would come. Just freaking delusional. Please seek help.

In the beginning the Gruden rumors were a little exciting for me. Only excitement this season had. But it wore off fast as all false info piled up. He kept it dragging on and enjoyed himself. Next time he shows up at Neyland I hope he gets booed out.

Does anyone believe Currie even offered Gruden? I dont think he did. Not saying Gruden would have come here. Just that Currie was an idiot that only had 1 guy, Schiano, on his mind.

If you ever took the Gruden rumors as anything more than a funny diversion through one miserable season after another, then you haven't been doing it right.

Want to blame someone for not shooting down the Grumors, look at Currie, Fulmer, and everyone else involved in the hiring process.

They're handling his signed MOU behind the scenes with the Haslams at Calhouns right now. It will be finalized at the new house he bought this afternoon. How do I know, well Beaver and his MIT gang of smart people said so and Atlanta Vol vouched for him! Besides he was on Ellen Degeneres' Talk Show wearing a green tie. The green tie means he's totally good with the MOU settlement being kept quiet and he used the word "like" somewhere in discussion with Ellen which is code he's good to go and WILL take the job in 4 years if Pruitt fails. Gruden 'til it's not. Soooooooooooooooooooooon.

Gruden is dead. No place at UT or being able to talk about UT.

However, the hate and feelings towards people who wanted something great for UT is just appalling.

You didn't want Gruden, fine. You think it was a pipe dream, fine. You wanted Gruden, fine. These are all individual opinions.

What isn't fine is the fanbase that enjoys ridiculing and making fun of those who wished for something better. It goes against everything a Vol should be.

So, maybe instead of hoping "these fans" disappear and getting enjoyment out of the idea that Gruden was, or is, or a never was going to happen, take some pride in being a vol and offer up a "it was a dream that didn't happen", rather than taking the people who had a dream about UT being great and demonizing them for having this belief.

I await what will happen, and will make judgement in a few years as to how this hire goes and hope it works out and we win and win a lot. Do you chastise me for this belief, if not, then don't lay it on the people who were on the Gruden train. Just one guy's opinion.

The only thing dead to me now is this administration for not making it happen. They could've made it happen.. besides why trade-in the dream of having a Super Bowl winning head coach and a family Vol mann vs. a life long Alabama Roll Tide Elephant Bammer who grew up on and lives and breathes Alabama football... great fit.... and the crowd goes WILD...nah I say Gruden lives... #GrudenGoals... soon

Gruden is dead to me forever more. On the flip side UT, including its football program, is also dead to me.

The UT administration and entire athletic department is a complete and utter failure and disgrace (and it’s not because they didn’t hire Gruden).

Admin, never been a fan for over 15 years now. But, Gruden could have made this easy, he could have accepted, he didn't and he played his game, as he should, but make no mistake Gruden carried 50% of the blame along with the admin. Anything else is blind to the fact that he could have made it easy to sign him, he didn't, he isn't the coach, and will never be mentioned again for this position.

I wanted to see the experiment of Gruden and see what would have happened, it would have been interesting to see. But, it ain't, and needs to be buried like the last season and forgotten about.
