I didnt get to watch the game past the highlights on ESPN (who hates us, so I'm sure the highlights were doctored). Looks like Coleman was better statisticlly, but I've also seen several posters say he looked like he had a weak arm. Based on the O & W game, who is next year's starting QB?

Based on the scrimmage it has to go to Coleman. He had some high and low throws, but also placed some balls in nearly uncatchable areas. He looked more confident and in my opinion has all the more upside due to the fact that he has slim to no game experience.

B J Coleman. For me it isn't even a contest.

The coaches continue to sound the "Crompton practices well" horn. He is not a gamer. BJ could be if given a chance.

Based on the game Coleman was the best, by far. Stephens did the 2nd best and Crompton third. I will be disapointed this fall if Coleman is not under center.

I thought they both looked pretty good...Crompton was the only one to throw an INT but even Kiffin said that wasn't his fault...We may not have our starter until after the Western KY game...Who knows but I thought Crompton looked good yesterday...Not to say Coleman didn't either but outta the two I thought Crompton looked better

There is something about game situations that makes Crompton hold the ball for 2 seconds too long. I counted three times that he threw the ball late, one ended with a completion the other two were over throws. To me it seemed as though he hadn't really improved his timing at all.

1. BJ
2. Nick
3. Crompton

After witnessing it live, I can't see Crompton.
Looks like it is between BJ and Nick, with BJ holding a slight lead.

Yeah I'm not saying by any means he looked awesome but he did look good....Stephens I thought did OK for the supporting cast he had, it seemed like when he went out there he kinda stuck with the guys that don't play much, I thought Stephens was guilty of holding the ball a little too long a couple of times too....I was impressed with Brandon Warren yesterday though, not to mention Denarious Moore...They made some great catches..I was happy with what I saw yetserday

First off, they never showed ours. They only showed Bama's and the Irish. But I would say BJ Coleman.

False, I saw them too.

I don't really think anyone stood out much during the game. They all had their pluses and minuses.

Poole and Warren stood out to me. And Williams too for that matter.

Coleman didn't look alot better than Crompton to me. But my guess is he will be able to manage the offense better in a real game situation. I think that's what the decision will come down to and that won't be evident to Kiffin until he sees it on September 5th.

I was a little P.O.'ed at Stephens. There were several plays I saw where he just looked like he quit on the play, and was lazily jogging around. My order is

BJ
Crompton
Stephens

have to agree with that. I know it was a scaled down D but the first drive was a good start. I didn't see anything by the other 2 that would cause Kiffin to make a switch.

first off Coleman was going against the 2's and did have a weak arm , Stephens fit some balls in tight spaces , Crompton looked better but still not as good as he was advertised out of high school...in the end, the competition will come down to Nick vs. Jonathon becuase none of the qbs on the team are his style and he wants to advertise playing time to recruits such as Heaps and he doesn't want his style of quarterback not coming to Tennessee because of playing time i know he wants to win this year but i clearly think Nick and Jonathon do just as good of job and have better arms
