I’ll be the first to come on here and eat crow. I initially thought this whole OC (or lack there of) would hurt us on early signing day/period. Looks like it didn’t.

But now that it’s over, when the heck is Pruitt gonna hire one, and who? These recruits must have known something, especially with signing plenty of players on offense.

Houston plays in the Armed Forces Bowl at 3:30 Eastern today. I’m still very curious about the sudden disappearance of Kendal Briles from chatter, especially with regards to UT and FSU. I would think that by now, his renegotiated contract with Houston would have been announced. 1545485609516.gif

Yep, there could be an announcement soon if it's him????
Army has a great Day and as far as I know Houston still has some guys banged up. Army is favored by 3.5.

If I’m not mistaken, Alabubba didn’t name an OC last year until sometime after February. And as of now, they also don’t have an OC named. I realize that Saban has some liberties due to his track record, but could it be that coaches have the ability to sell recruits on the system they will run rather than the exact coach running it.

It’s been in the back of my mind since everything went silent. I have to think he already has his man. I saw on here the rumor of Kendal Briles and then bringing Lebby as his QB coach. If that’s the case it’s hard to deny rocky top is on the rise. After the ESD closeout we just experienced I’m excited either way

FSU supposedly going to wrap him up soon. Had fine details to work out and I think Briles wanted to leave respectfully.

Think Enos was promoted.

I still believe Pruitt has had contact with his guy for a while now. Maybe a verbal agreement and he's waiting for his current commitment to wrap up. Hell Pruitt fullfilled his duties at Bama after we hired him.

I can't blame anyone for being cynical given our track record with coaching hires and the last ten years. I still have doubts, but that is the BVS talking. Just have to ride it out at this point.
With that said, yesterday's signings were nice if for nothing more than the change of tone on the board. It has been gloomy here lately. Dare I say, a little hope returning to the Hill?

We don’t know if not having an OC hurt us in recruiting or not. We only know that we ended up top 15 (top 5 SEC).

All things considered though, Pruitt did really well.

Yesterday certainly gave me the warm fuzzies on this recruiting class. I'll take a platter of crow as well on not having an OC hurting us. We did just fine and got a big transfer to boot. If CJP is going to hire someone on staff already, you would think the announcement would come soon. So, I'm going to go with no news on the OC is good news at this point.
