Snap Judgements about Florida

Tennessee has generally improved across the board. Florida, not so much. Especially on their O-Line. Grier will be running for his life Saturday because their run game is trash.

It's Tuesday. I'm already into my blind optimism stage. I think we have our real threat in P Williams now, and we will get Pig more involved. I'm pretty excited.

I was hoping so but we couldn't even get pressure or a sack against WCU

freshman qb, 3 freshman lineman, ok rb, and no wide receivers. there is NO WAY we lose this game(blue font). seems lie I heard the same stuff last year.

home game for them with a great defense.

until I see it, we dont win this game, sorry.

Prophetic statement incoming: Florida is better than Tennessee until Tennessee beats them.

the Oklahoma qb was running for his life as well. that seemed to work out ok for them. (and hes not a runner, ufs qb is)

How do they score? if they get more than 10 I will be surprised. They won't score more than 3 times, no chance.

True, but Mayfield had some luck with piss poor tackling. A lot of QB's throw picks under the same scenario. Kentucky got plenty of pressure on the Gator QB with just their down linemen and Florida's O-Line is nowhere near as good as Ok's.

Their D is rock solid.

D line has some future NFL players and some of their DB's will also play on Sundays so scoring won't be easy but we WILL score with some plays that haven't been used by us yet.

Last week they stayed with their same QB the entire game but they still didn't score much against kenSucky even though the Mildcats are a improved team.

We'll still run the ball to keep the Gators honest but Dobbs and our WR's and TE's will be the story of this game.

Passes will come out faster, O line will block a tad better and the chains will move.

Tennessee drains the swamp with a HUGE WIN to end the horrid streak.

That took you all of 30 seconds, why are you even here??

.

Because we apparently have a board filled with &@ssies this week. Let 'em wreck their week with fear. The rest of us can sit back and enjoy a Tennessee win this weekend.

Grier hurt his ribs against UK. You could see it on their final drive. He badly under threw a pass and was grabbing at his chest in noticeable pain. McElwain knows he won't start but won't announce it so we have to prepare for both QBs. If our secondary doesn't bite on play action or QB runs we have a shot. Also need Kirkland Jr out there, Treon is too fast for Jumper

Would like to see Vols do some of the following Saturday vs the Gators.

Hurd get 25 touches- Up the middle, Off tackle, Flairs/Screens

Give Wolf more than 2 looks- Esp over middle of field, Good things happen when he is more utilized in passing game.

Kamara in space with ball- Screen the middle of the field, Also let him return punts b/c Cam is way more important defensively then how we have used Kamara so far.

Dobbs come out early and look to North- From what I have seen so far, he locks on Malone.

Dobbs also take a shot downfield early- Doesn't matter who it's to, preferably North/Malone/Williams.

Hit Pig with Bubble Screens, and allow North/Pearson/Malone/Wolf in front blocking for him.

I've been watching this series for decades and Florida majority of times always, always gets up for this game. When the Vols have beaten the Gators (whether home or in the Swamp) the Vols have played with a mean streak. That has been only a few times. Hope they can mustard that up this weekend cause the Gators will indeed come into it prepared to win.

Read that Grier was slinging it around fine at UF's practice yesterday and there was some video to validate it. But I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if Harris starts whether Grier is 100% or not.

They got NFL talent on the DL and there CB is a top 15 pick, so there Defense is good, there Offense is a work in progress, so its easy to figure out who is going to win, i think in the last 15 games we played them the team that has the most rushing yards has won this game 13 out of 15 times, so if we stop the run we should be in good shape, this game will come down to the wire like 20-17 so get your  ready.

We just need to come out and Relax, our coaching staff needs to just Relax and let the game come to us, and dont be so up tight, for some reason who ever was our coach this game has been in our teams head, i can recall 7 or 8 times we had the better team and still lost the game, we just play not to lose instead of playing to win this been going on sense the 80s its getting old after 30 something years of this type of play.

Here's the deal, guys.

Florida has a great defense and a crappy offense. On that we can agree. UT has a strong defense and a strong offense. There's no way that thin, inexperienced o-line wins against our defense. That means their defense will spend most of their time on the field, trying to stop the run game. That means that their defense will tire long before ours does. Tennessee wins UNLESS A BUNCH OF WHINERS CONTINUE TO BOO HOO ABOUT STUFF THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST.

Good grief. There's more whining around here than Christmas at my in-laws.
