Snake Salvation

Anybody watching this on NatGeo? There is a pastor in Lafollette Tn and in Middlesborro KY........they travel looking for poisonous snakes to bring back to the church for the flock to handle.

Don't really understand why they travel because we have plenty of copperheads here. We see at least 10 plus per year in the yard. I know its illegal to hunt them here and also found out it is illegal to kill them or any snake from a TWRA agent. With that said the snake-handling is also illegal. I have lived here for 16 years and never seen a rattlesnake here on my property and don't understand why the copperheads are so thick but not one rattlesnake? We have 5.5 acres that's next door to Royal Blue where I have seen plenty of rattlesnakes just never seen a rattlesnake close to my property?

They want western diamondbacks and cotton mouths.......apparently the nastier and meaner the better.....the kentucky pastor got caught traveling thru knoxville and they confiscated his snakes and gave him probation. He said that Tennessee was a communist state lulz

I've always heard that rattlesnakes and copperheads will not share territory. You will have one or the other.

We are covered up in timber rattlesnakes but have no copperheads that I'm aware of. Thirty miles east has copperheads but no rattlers.

I won't deny the sincerity of their belief, but these people are nuts.
