Just to clarify playing at Smokies Stadium was not the problem but not getting on the field for BP and getting out of that normal routine was the problem. They love the idea of playing in the stadium. This being the main reason I will always be a proponent of turf versus grass and dirt. Rain is not your enemy. Not according to Preacherman, if I read him correctly. I believe he said the players thought it was disruptive to their regular routines. Please correct me if I got that wrong.

Yeah, but this is pretty unique. President of University X is also owner of Minor League team Y, and the baseball team contracts with another school to play in his team's stadium. At the very least, his team benefits from the free publicity generated. If U of X president personally profits - or his team - from this then it is corrupt. I he doesn't then it isn't. But I don't see how he doesn't if his team gets lots of free publicity.
