Has anybody heard from him lately? He hasn't been active on this board for over a month.

BTW I thought it was fitting to put this in the gaming forum since he is (or was) the mod for this section of VN.

He started his own gaming forum or something. He advertised for it and that is against the rules, so...yeah. We need a new Gaming Mod. I'll step up if we really need one and no one else wants it.

i'd be up for moding the forum too. that sucks if he's gone though. i didn't know it was that big of a deal (if that's what really happened).

He wasn't banned or anything like that. The links to the other board were removed, and that was about it. I dunno what's happened to Smokey.

I know he wasn't banned. I just figured since he stopped posting here and was advertising his site that Freak pulled the plug on his modding abilities.

I'm not positive where that went, but I think there probably was a mutual separation... I'm not interested enough to ask Freak for the scoop. :)

I heard his brother in law got him a job in Vegas, i saw him get into the car to the airport.....:unsure:

Nothing like that. I asked smokey if he wanted to continue modding here and he said he wasn't sure he would have the time. I understood completely. No hard feelings on either end to my knowledge.

If any of you are interested in taking over, PM me and let me know. Things rarely get out of hand in this forum, so modding responsibility consists more of posting interesting new topics and keeping the activity going. You'll have big shoes to fill because smokey did a great job at both. :)
