Wow I didn't know they would use a rescue. I thought all the Smokey's came from the same family.

It’s a matter of availability I think. The Hudson family I don’t think has one of age and the previous Smokey didn’t work out so I think finding one that already has the temperament for the job is way more important than bloodlines.

From what I read they are working with the Hudson family that might adopt Neyland or at least house him like they always have
