Toney Williams tore his ACL this week. Might have already had the surgery but that isn't clear

That sucks to hear...Oku may be called on now

Then again, Kiffin also(from the sounds of it) liked what he saw from Poole in Spring practice this year

I hope he recovers well. I thought he had a very good spring and extremely under rated coming out of HS

that sucks to hear. Get working on that PT Toney!

the good news is I was told earlier this week on VN that an ACL tear is not a serious injury at all so he should be ready for fall right? :p

too different type backs. not sure that factors on his redshirting or not

I do agree they are two different type backs, but If Oku was being considered a redshirt guy I think this keeps him unredshirted. I believe Kiffin will want to use him this year anyways.

Man, I hate it for these young guys that work so hard to get there and get into the rotation, only to get injured and have to struggle with that. Oh well, trials build character, or at least, they are supposed to...

whats the length of a typical ACL recovery? when i played in high school, our outside linebacker and our TE both tore theirs and they didnt come back until mid-baseball season...

It is hard to give up working from home wasn't it?

Glad to hear you are doing well.

well actually.... starting July 1, they gave us an option of working from home 3 days a week. So I'm going back to it 60% of the time...

depends if it was scope job or full repair.. if full I would anticipate missed season.. 6-8 months recovery. I just don't have that information

Sucks to hear about T. Williams, thought he looked really good in the spring. I cant see him being ready by football season. I think CLK will end up redshirting him & not Oku to keep the depth there.

Hope for a full recovery for Williams.

true recovery is well over a year. Typically the second season back is when the injury finally leaves the players' subconscious.

my last ACL repair took about 5mos before I was able to play a full soccer game without too much pain and instability. Very little cartilage damage on that one. I would guess he will have better PT that I did so 6-7mos (depending on the injury) sounds about right. Mental part is actually tougher
