Liberal NY college students demand administrators deal with ‘racist white professors,' provide free detergent

Students at a New York college routinely ranked as one of the most liberal in America are accusing administrators of not being progressive enough – unless they accept a long list of demands, including taking teaching duties away from “racist white professors” and providing laundry detergent -- and softener -- for all.

The wide-ranging declaration that emerged this week at the $54,440-a-year Sarah Lawrence College comes as bands of students have been marching around campus, chanting outside the president’s home and participating in sit-ins over their beliefs the school has “not implemented sufficient strategies to dismantle systematic oppression to be sustainable or safe for marginalized people in an increasingly dangerous political climate."

Ayrah Taerb is hoping for a day when toxic masculinity doesn't exist — in fact, the concept artist has a song, Reanalyze, all about it.

Taerb is part of a larger group of racialized men in Toronto who use art, performance and frank conversation to address the dangers of toxic masculinity.

While the topic can be challenging to talk about, Taerb sees it play out in his community as some carry themselves with a sort of "reckless abandon."

British Police Investigate Catholic Woman for ‘Hate Crime’ of Using ‘Wrong Pronoun’

British police reportedly held an investigation into a Catholic mother after she used the “wrong pronoun” for a transgender person, and she will face a recorded interview with police to determine whether she committed a “hate crime.”

According to the Telegraph, Catholic commentator Caroline Farrow “allegedly used the wrong pronoun when referring to” transgender rights activist Susie Green’s “transgender daughter.”

In response, Green reportedly filed a complaint with the police, which led to an investigation of Farrow.

Farrow has reportedly “been asked to attend a police interview,” and “was contacted by officers from the Surrey force to inform her they were investigating an allegation that she had made transphobic comments on Twitter.”

Farrow, who works as a Catholic journalist, is also being “investigated for a possible hate crime under the malicious communication act, an offence that carries a maximum two-year prison sentence.”

Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday appeared on MSNBC, where host Ari Melber asked him: “There is a lot of talk about America being a leader as a democracy, quote unquote, in the 1800s when women and African-Americans couldn’t vote. What kind of democracy is that?”

Holder lit into America with a vicious question for Trump supporters. “Exactly when did you think America was great?”

“It certainly wasn’t when people were enslaved. It certainly wasn’t when women didn’t have the right to vote. It certainly wasn’t when the LGBT community was denied the rights to which it was entitled,” Holder said.

Melber asked Holder if he thought Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan — Make American Great Again — was racist. “Does that phrase echo as discrimination in your ears?” “It takes us back to what I think, an American past that never in fact really existed. This notion of greatness,” Holder said.

The Arizona Republic reports that this case caused state legislators to pass a law last year that would free further individuals in similar situations from being responsible for children conceived against their will. The Republican describes the bill as requiring “that viable embryos from a divorced couple be awarded to the parent who will allow a child to be born” but “also states the other parent has no rights or obligations.”

Lol the school is still named after a colonial. But whatever tickles your pickle. I hope that a lot of these people look back in 20 years and see how dumb they were.

Dont even get me started on gender dysphoria. The fact that our society has decided to try and re-define elementary school biology in order to placate less than 1% of the world's population sickens me. Being Male or Female is not a social construct, forced upon individuals by society at birth! It is determined by your chromosomes! If you are born with a Y chromosome in your cells you are a man! If you do not possess Y chromosomes you are a woman! This is a biological fact! If someone wants to dress as a woman, act like a woman, change their name to sound like a woman, even mutilate their body to closer resemble a woman, that's fine. It's a free country and you can do those things if you want. But I'm sorry, the onus is on YOU to deal with the fact that you are what you are biologically. The burden is not on 99.99% of the rest of society to completely ignore sound science to somehow make you feel better about your condition.
