Site is very Slow Loading

Well, if the default works ok, that means it's either something wrong in the skin somewhere or the banners are slowing us down a bit. I'll work on it. Keep using the default and let me know if it keeps working ok and those of you please post as you are still having issues into tomorrow. It could be a temporary thing if it's related to that.

i don't like the default. if the sponsor banners and whatnot help keep the board running, i'll wait the extra .5-1 second for the board to load.

Yeah, I don't expect you to use the default long term. I just was having you guys use that so I can try to troubleshoot the issue.

My username is HUGE in the default. It's still better than waiting 20 years for the page to load. :) I have faith that freak will have it fixed soon so I can have my orange background back. :rock:

Loading very slowly for me in the last few hours, VF. I posted about it in sports, sorrt. Go ahead and delete it, if you would.

Do I need to change something on my end regarding the "skin"?

I have pulled off the new banners for now and put back the VolNation 2k7 skin. Please let me know if this solves everyones problems. If this doesn't do it it's only a couple of other things that it coud be.

Seems to be working infinitely better right at this moment. Can't say if what you did caused it, though it does stand to reason...

Guys, keep me posted. There is one other thing that could be causing it if the problem still isn't solved.

It seems like your hard at work trying to fix the problem. Thanks for making VN the greatest site on the Internet. Anyways, its still working fine on my computer.

It is working perfectly now. It is as fast as it has ever been, you do a good job running the nation. :thumbsup::)

Great, it seems it was the banners. I have pulled them until I can find a fix.
