From what I saw, Brian Kelly —in one offseason, has managed to strip LSU of their swagger and confidence. They were sleepwalking much of the game, and Kelly on the sidelines looked like he didn’t want to be there.

Maybe there is something to a team taking in the personality of their coach. This Brian Kelly hire could be the undoing of LSU.
I don’t think Kelly is a bad coach but just thought this was a terrible hire fit wise.

So we bring pressure with our D-line that looked so dominant against Ball State?
The D Line looked fine, several QB hurries despite them getting the ball out super quick by design. 2.7 yards per carry which is good considering there was no sack yardage obviously.

My point is being extra pressure and make Daniels beat you with his arm. He didn't prove to me that he can do that, but he did prove he can run around and make plays with his legs. Make sure he's contained in the pocket and can't do that and their offense will sputter. They didn't even have 350 yards against a team that went 5-7 last year. Daniels had 323 of that. Stop him, and they're done.

Not to knock him, but,Jaden Daniels seems to see his first receiver covered, then,he resorts to "run,Forrest, run"technique. We need to think only on Pitt this week and not worry about down the line until the schedule gets there.

All off-season I have viewed UF, S. Carolina, Pitt, LSU and UK as games that could go either way (with Bama & UGA being likely losses and the other 5 games likely wins). I have figured we would probably find a way to pull out 3 out of 5 of these toss-ups (to go 8-4). After week 1, I am:

More confident we will beat S. Carolina
More confident we will beat Pitt
More confident we will beat LSU
Less confident we will beat Florida &
About the same with Kentucky

I am also more sure Bama and UGA are losses. Vandy and Missou may be slightly tougher games than expected as well, but should both still be solid wins.

This is reasonable I think.
