If a player is ejected in the 2nd half he is disqualified for the first half of the next game. The suspension is for half a game.

I am not well versed at all in the rules of football, thank goodness my husband explains, to the best of his ability, and that I am able to understand cause it can be very confusing or at least it can to those of us that weren't raised right, LOL ..

Yea, it's a bit ridiculous IMO considering i've seen a multitude of posts/arguments/ad hominems left alone that were far worse than what was said in this thread. I guess inconsistency is a theme that permeates even our beloved fan site.

2:11 in first quarter of UGA vs USC, UGA tight end cut blocks USC star defensive tackle. Sound familiar? The rules relative injuries need a complete overhaul. If you cut block, spear, or other really aggressive shots on an opponent, and you knock him out of the game/games, you stay out til he comes back. At least that sounds fair and logical. If you hit the guy and he comes back next play, you can come back next play. The targeting calls, subjective, against UT players this year have been ridiculous. My opinion.
