Yeah they're the feet. I wish soccer was a fall sport. Alot more athletes could play lacrosse in the spring.

As in the school with the mascot as a foot? Webb Feet?

From what I have been told, when they first started their sports programs in the late 60's, they were trying to think of a name for the teams. A bunch of hippies thought it would be clever and funny. Unfortunately it stuck.

alright just got done with Notre Dame. umm lets see theyre pretty awful. their goalie is moderate but thats about all they got. stick skills are pitiful. they run a soft zone on defense i believe ( i play D). probably their best shooter is 52. he had 2 goals on our 3rd string goalie in the 4th, 1 was kicked in by one of our players. if you play solid d it shouldnt be an issue getting the ball to the O side

Cool, we have alot of catch and shoot plays for zone D's. You guys are having a great year. Who do you think you'll draw in the playoffs?

Definitely famous only because of his skills in lacrosse. Yes.

That was not a requirement. I was just rebutting the Miah Hamm comment. He is a famous lacrosse player... but perhaps his acting is more legendary.

So anyway, Tennessee plays in D1 of the collegiate club league. They play FSU this weekend and will most likely take it on the chin as FSU is fairly highly ranked. The Jerseys need work based on photos as the Orange is wrong. They need a sugar daddy to get them some uni's. Sounds like Poncharello maybe?

I think Lacrosse is one of the up and coming sports and seems to be growing very fast. The title 9 thing is really holding it back from going full blown NCAA at this point.

At some point I think both soccer and men's lacrosse will be division 1 at UT. I'd say in the next 10-15 years. Vandy will have D1 men's lacrosse within 5 years most likely. I heard an interview on the radio with their AD and he said that Men's Lacrosse was next on the docket to be added.

I wish I could've played lacrosse at UT. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to end up at Pepperdine next year instead. :(

Wow I had no idea we had a following..I play goalie for the club team here at school.

This weekend we went down to Tallahassee and beat NC State 10-9 and lost to a very very good Florida State Team 13-8.

Yeah - he's trying to get sympathy even though he's basically bragging instead. Poor guy - he has to go to Pepperdine - I feel so sorry for him.

Scarlett Johansson wanted to do me, but unfortunately Megan Fox wouldn't get out of my bed.

Oddly enough, I was cleaning out the garage this weekend and came across a duffle bag with a lot of my old gear. During the time I played, our jerseys were blue. We had such a hard time raising money, there would have been no way we could have changed them.

I'll be the lacrosse team's sugar daddy as long as you will help me find a good sugar momma....deal?

I am curious utkdave how much are the dues these days, and how do you guys travel to away games. I remember playing in Lexington at UK's annual tourney one year and an entire team showed up in a Ryder truck. When they opened the back, the entire team was laid out on couches and air matresses.

Dues are around $950, we travelled this year to Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Nashville. We use charter buses not Ryder trucks haha but thats one hell of a story

I am not sure how we would have afforded it back then. I think we were around 50 bucks. I am glad to see the program has progressed and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Go Vols Lax.

I was at the FSU match, brought my son up from Tampa.
You all put a real scare into the Noles -- they are 13-0 and ranked in the top five - the Vols looked sharp. got to give up the safety orange though.
