Simms is going to.......

Play solid, lead the team, and hopefully shock the nation. With a win has anyone ever played the number 1 team in the nation two weeks straight?

Rick had one of the best attitudes of anyone to wear the orange. He made the team better by his presence. I can see some of Rick's attributes in the younger Simms.

Rick clausen award= all heart and not much talent. Same goes for skyler and swiperboy. Sometimes heart wins over. Sometimes it doesnt. It worked for clausen in the cotton bowl win over a&m. Will it work for simms saturday? We can only hope so. Whatever happens.....this team wont give up. When your backs are against the wall.....thats when the weak or considered down opponent will shine. GBO!

yeah, but that was after his daddy jerked him a new one and the ensuing about face. he pitched a hissy fit when bray was named the starter last year. i think a lot of people have forgotten that.

Simms would need much help from a team that hasn't showed much against better competition. This here is elite competition . It's on a entirely different level. The separation of these two teams got much wider over the course of a year.

Complete opposite. Swiperboy has a lot of talent, but not much heart last season. For basketball at least, pretty sure he spent more time on his music.

Bray has the better arm and instinct.

But, is it possible that Simms could elevate the team by providing more experience and stronger leadership?

He is talented with music and thats where his love for ut is shown. He has no talent. Thats why he does not see the court IMO.

It ain't about Simms. That '05 team had:

Parys Haralson, Kevin Simon, Jason Hall, Jesse Mahelona, Jason Mitchell, Justin Harrell, Omar Gaither, Jason Allen, Roshaun Fellows, Antwan Stewart, Jonathan Hefney, Xavier Mitchell, Turk McBride, Inky Johnson and Jonathan Wade on D.

And this LSU theam looks better than that one too.

I suppose anything is possible but the odds of us winning this weekend are roughly that of me nailing Mila Kunis.

The biggest difference between Rick and Simms is Rick actually got rid of the ball in a timely fashion.

Even if it was a wounded duck, it was still airborne before the D-Line got a running start to kill him.

I think our chances of winning are about the same as they were with Bray. We need to play GREAT defense and win the turnover battle. Maybe somebody will make a big play and we can pull out a low scoring vitory.. something like 13-10

Tell you one thing...all those Devrin Young naysayers need to really start wanting to look like idiots and hope DY goes crazy in the return game over the next few weeks.
