In today's women's college basketball there are 20-30 really good teams and programs, being in the top ten is not a bad thing. Also a Pat Summitt only comes along every 100 years or more. It would be great to have the next Pat Summitt, but not very likely. Any one who follows a living ledgend will be judged inadequate. I agree that if recruiting falls off and we begin to not go deep into the tournament it will require a change. But until then this was Pat's pick and I trust her evaluation of a coach more that our very intelligent posters.
Look at their records and schools, these are very solid programs, this not 1999 any longer

How high was Florida Gulf Coast recruiting the last five years? How about Belmont? Gonzaga? Yes these are men's program, but the point is it is easier to build a BB program because you only need three really good player a a solid supporting staff and good coaching to have some success.
No offense, but I think Pat's evaluation is suspect and probably colored by the loyalty of a 30 year association with Holly.
Would have liked to have seen Warlick take over a major program years ago in order to judge her head coaching acumen. That many years without getting a top job....definitely a red flag.
Hart is head of the programs. IMO, he doesn't seem to be motivating any of his coaches.
After watching the men play yesterday and watching the women play today, i notice that neither team can hit lay ups, hit foul shots in pressure situations, or play aggressive perimeter defense . The Lady VOLs seem to shoot better from the outside.
