My son's last active duty day for the Navy was last week!!!

He just got home to Hendersonville and I couldn't be happier. I wanted him to stay in and retire but he decided 6 years was enough. That is fine by me.

I know bad stuff can happen anywhere, but I really like that he's home and not in Japan.

Haha I was telling my mom over the weekend that I’m trying to get to Germany for my next assignment (it’s unlikely, but still). She was not happy that I’d be so far away. At Bragg I was only 2.5 hours away, at Norfolk it was about 3, now it’s 4-4.5 hours. She’s loved that I’ve never been too far away. Glad your boy is home Wylo.
