I know the subject of Silas Redd transferring been touched on (no pun intended) in the Fera thread, but could someone "in the know" give us a reasonable guess as to what our chances of actually landing him are? Thanks in advance.

I doubt he will transfer, doesn't make sense for him. He's one more year away from being eligible for the NFL draft. Why would he go to a new school, learn a new system, and fight for a starting position.

I remember everyone getting excited like this when USC got hit. We only got one player out of that deal(a very good one). I would imagine we might pick up one from PSU.

To win games and be on TV as the main story?

Your pun joke was distasteful and a huge fail.

If they allow the schools like OSU and USCw to get these players, AND PSU transfers don't count toward the 85, I doubt UT gets more than 1. We are in a great position to get 3 if the transfers to count toward the 85, as we are at 82, but if they can literally go to any school in the country, chances aren't great that we get more than 1.

I don't know, I just mean if we have room for 3 people and the transfers DO count against the 85, we would be better positioned to get transfers than those programs who are already at 85. If they do not count against the 85, I doubt we get many, if any. It may help that we are not a rival/conference team, as I can't imagine many kids who played for PSU would want to transfer to a rival school like OSU or UM.

My guess would be is to keep from getting killed.By the time the season starts he will have auto mechanic and
4H and welding clubs blocking for him.All the other good players will probably be gone.He wont have to worry about the NFL.
